Have you been thinking about getting away and making memories with friends that you will remember for the rest of your life? Are you an individual who would love to climb a mountain, or ride down a river in a raft? Or are you more laid back and would just like to hang out and relax in a beautiful environment or slip under the water of a hot tub. Join us this summer as we go on a trip that you won’t forget.
Stay in a condo in Frisco, Colorado. Spend the day at Breckenridge riding the ski lift to the top of the mountain, riding the alpine slide and jumping on the trampoline or climb on the climbing wall before you find your way through the maze. Bring your bike or rent one and ride down Vale Pass, a five mile trip where you don’t even have to touch the pedals to make your way down the mountain except to brake. Climb with us up to see mountain ranges, waterfalls and God’s beautiful country. This is an experience you don’t want to miss.
The cost of the trip has ranged right around $325 which has included Food, Lodging and transportation. Breckenridge and rafting are extra and optional. If you are a parent with kids, please speak to Sam personally. In the past, kids have been deeply discounted making it extremely reasonable to go on this trip as a parent with kids.
The cost of the trip will be divided up amongst all attendees and the actual costs depend on the amount of people that go, cost of gas in July and food costs. Let me know you are interested in going at all so we can keep you informed. Reservations need to be made for the Condo(s) by May 1st. To reserve your spot, A deposit of $150 is needed by May 1st. The remaining portion will be needed before departure. The condo portion is non- refundable.

All of us would like to wish all of you a merry, blessed Christmas. As we exchange gifts with friends and loved ones, let’s take a moment to think about the biggest, best gift ever given–our Lord Jesus Christ and His salvation. May we each return to Him the biggest and best gift we can offer him–our faith and love.

End of Summer Bash, by Rebecca Rundlett

This weekend the LBC Singles are hosting our second annual ‘End-of-Summer Bash’ at Platte River State Park. Although at this point I feel like I am drowning in the details of preparation, I am looking forward to this year’s Bash with eager anticipation! Last summer, at the first annual Platte River Park ‘Bash’, we were blessed with a weekend of fun, comraderie, fellowship. Underline fellowship. Friday night we sang praise music and chatted–many of us connected with friends that we had not seen for quite some time; and made new friends. Saturday we spent the day in activities:hiking, biking, swimming, badminton, ‘yellowball’, fellowshipping, reading, napping etc. The Park proved to be an ideal setting to just be together and to enjoy God’s wonderful creation, and our beautiful state. Sunday we had casual breakfast and headed back to civilization after some time of fellowship. This year we have a full weekend planned with some fellowship time, worship and praise time, messages to reflect upon by Bob Milliken(Saturday) and Kurt Sandquist(Sunday), as well as some semi-formal star-gazing (weather-permitting). Saturday there will be lot’s of time to roam the park, be active, be lazy, hang out, eat and dance, if you’re so inclined. We do have a place to gather in case of rain, so don’t let a few clouds hold you back!! The main thing I remember, on reflection, is the AWESOME time, getting away, and spending time together with old friends and new friends–feeling the love of God and truly the fellowship of the Spirit as we focused on Him, His wonderful creation, and on spending time with our brothers and sisters in Christ. This is our hope and prayer for this year’s ‘Bash’, as well–that we would be ‘blessed beyond belief’ in our time together this weekend!! Looking forward to seeing you ALL at Platte River Park this weekend–come for part or all of the weekend!! Rebecca
